Genius Sports completes acquisition of Legend Media Network to deepen iGaming reach

Genius Sports (NYSE:GENI) has finalized its acquisition of Legend, a prominent digital sports and gaming media network.

The move marks a significant expansion for the real-time sports data provider, as it integrates a media platform that attracts more than 320 million annual visits from a global base of 118 million unique visitors.

Legend’s portfolio includes major digital properties such as Covers.com, Casino.org, and Casino Guru.

The acquisition is intended to create a synergistic ecosystem where Genius Sports’ official data infrastructure meets Legend's marketing technology and established audience.

In 2025, Legend reported that over two-thirds of its visitors returned to its properties on a regular basis, providing Genius Sports with a consistent and scaled platform for audience monetization.

The company stated that the merger positions it as a unique entity in the industry, simultaneously controlling the flow of official sports data and the media channels through which fans consume and act on that data.

This integration is expected to enhance Genius Sports’ capabilities in both sports advertising and the high-growth iGaming sector.
