The quarterly performance showed a 1.9 percent increase in revenue year over year, while net income attributable to stockholders fell 31.1 percent to $1.3 billion.
The company stated that full-year 2026 EBIT-adjusted is now expected to reach $14–$16 billion, backed by an adjusted automotive free cash flow guidance of $9.5–$11.5 billion.
Following the announcement, General Motors' share price was unchanged at $45.50.
The automaker continues to navigate shifting demand in the global electric vehicle sector while sustaining core profitability from internal combustion engine trucks and SUVs.
Leadership noted that ongoing capital allocation strategies include returning value to shareholders via a quarterly cash dividend of $0.18 per share payable on September 17, 2026.
