Fractyl Health reports positive one-year weight maintenance results in Revita study

Fractyl Health (NASDAQ:GUTS) today announced positive one-year, open-label results from its REVEAL-1 study, which evaluated the Revita® duodenal mucosal resurfacing procedure in patients who had discontinued the use of GLP-1 receptor agonist medications.

The study aimed to assess the procedure's ability to help patients maintain weight loss achieved during prior GLP-1 treatment.

Data from the study showed that participants maintained approximately 78% of their prior GLP-1-induced weight loss one year after the procedure.

The mean total body weight change among the cohort (n=15) was 5.3% at the one-year mark.

Additionally, metabolic health markers remained stable; the group’s mean HbA1c levels increased by only 0.08%, suggesting the durability of the metabolic improvements.

Notably, the study reported no procedure-related serious adverse events, reinforcing the safety profile of the intervention.

These findings are significant as the medical community increasingly looks for solutions to manage weight regain in patients who cycle off or stop taking intensive GLP-1 therapies.

Revita is a procedural approach designed to target the gut-driven drivers of metabolic disease, offering a potential alternative or adjunct to long-term chronic medication use.

The company is now preparing for further data readouts to confirm these initial observations.

Midpoint data from the one-year randomized REMAIN-1 study is expected in the third quarter of 2026, followed by the release of six-month data from the pivotal cohort in early Q4 2026.

These forthcoming results will be critical in determining the broader potential for Revita in the post-GLP-1 treatment landscape.
