Flowers Foods (NYSE:FLO) reported second quarter 2026 net sales of $1.193 billion, down 4% year-over-year, as higher pricing and product mix were offset by lower sales volume.
The results compared with the prior-year period as branded retail sales declined 3.8% to $794.6 million and other sales decreased 4.4% to $398.3 million.
Flowers Foods reported net income of $40.7 million, down 30.3% year-over-year, while adjusted EBITDA declined 19.2% to $111.3 million and adjusted diluted earnings per share decreased to $0.21.
The company reported pricing and mix increased 1.8% during the quarter, but volume declined 5.8%, contributing to lower adjusted net income of $44.1 million compared with the prior-year period.
For fiscal 2026, Flowers Foods revised its outlook and now expects net sales of $5.070 billion to $5.142 billion, adjusted EBITDA of $453 million to $481 million, and adjusted diluted earnings per share of $0.75 to $0.85.
