Flex LNG (NYSE:FLNG) has secured a new time charter agreement for its liquefied natural gas carrier, the Flex Aurora, ensuring immediate employment for the vessel following its redelivery in early March 2026.

The New York-listed shipping company agreed to a minimum firm period of two years for the vessel.

The contract includes sequential charterer options of two years each, structured as a 2+2+2 extension framework.

If the charterer exercises all available options, the agreement will stretch to eight years, keeping the Flex Aurora contracted through 2034.

The transaction provides a structural boost to the company's long-term revenue visibility.

Following the announcement, Flex LNG's minimum contract backlog increased to 55 years across its fleet.

Should all charterers across the company's portfolio exercise their respective extension options, that backlog would climb to 82 years.

Company management indicated that the prompt deployment of the Flex Aurora will contribute positively to earnings in the second quarter of 2026.
