
First Majestic silver output falls 11%
- First Majestic Silver (NYSE:AG) produced 3.4 million ounces of silver in Q3 2026, down 11% year over year.
- Gold production fell 17% to 29,552 ounces, while a 12-day labour dispute disrupted operations at San Dimas.
- The company renewed a share repurchase program covering up to 10 million shares through October 13, 2027.
First Majestic Silver (NYSE:AG) reported third-quarter 2026 silver production of 3.4 million ounces, down 11% year over year and 9% from the previous quarter.
Gold production totaled 29,552 ounces, representing declines of 17% year over year and 15% sequentially, while silver and gold output reached 72% and 75% of revised annual guidance midpoints.
A 12-day labour dispute affected operations at San Dimas during the quarter, while La Encantada silver production increased 68% from the prior-year period.
First Majestic renewed its normal course issuer bid, allowing purchases of up to 10,000,000 shares, or about 2% of outstanding shares, from October 14, 2026 through October 13, 2027.
The company said repurchased shares will be cancelled and expects expansion work at Santa Elena and Los Gatos to finish in the near term.
First Majestic also said it remains on track to restart production at Jerritt Canyon during the second half of 2027.
The company plans to report third-quarter financial results and dividend details on November 5, 2026, before markets open.
