ExxonMobil (NYSE:XOM) announced its second-quarter 2026 financial results, posting a net income of $14.5 billion, or $3.48 per share, as geopolitical disruptions drove oil prices higher.
The quarterly adjusted earnings reached $14.7 billion, translating to $3.52 per share for the period.
The company achieved its highest upstream production in over two decades, excluding Middle East disruptions, fueled by record outputs in the Permian Basin and continued gains in Guyana.
Following the announcement, ExxonMobil's share price was down at $154.32.
Management noted that the organization has achieved $16.3 billion in cumulative structural cost savings while generating $17.2 billion in free cash flow during the quarter.
The corporation further supported its capital return strategy by distributing $9.4 billion to shareholders, split into $4.3 billion of dividends and $5.1 billion of share repurchases.
