Evaxion reports sustained melanoma responses after 3 years
- Evaxion reported that all six patients in its three-year EVX-01 trial extension maintained their earlier responses, with no tumor progression.
- The 16-patient study previously recorded a 75% objective response rate, including 25% complete responses, while the latest announcement did not disclose a share-price reaction.
- Evaxion plans to present additional clinical and immune data on October 24, 2026, followed by a webinar on October 29.
Evaxion (NASDAQ:EVAX) reported sustained clinical responses after three years in its phase 2 melanoma vaccine trial, with no tumor progression among six patients followed.
The findings follow earlier results showing a 75% objective response rate among 16 patients, including four complete responses and 92% still responding at two years.
“The new data further adds to EVX-01’s strong data package as a good foundation for potential partnership discussions,” said Evaxion Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Operating Officer Birgitte Rønø.
Six of the trial's 12 responders entered a one-year extension, receiving EVX-01 alone after two years of treatment alongside KEYTRUDA.
Evaxion plans to present further clinical and immune findings at ESMO on October 24, followed by an October 29 webinar.
Earlier results showed deeper responses in 54% of patients, tumor reduction in 15 of 16 participants, and vaccine-induced immune responses in all patients.
Evaxion develops personalized cancer vaccines using its AI-Immunology platform and has recently expanded its research into brain cancer vaccines and autoimmune diseases.
