Escalade acquires ASL Solutions pet product assets

Escalade (NASDAQ:ESCA) announced the acquisition of the assets of ASL Solutions, a Ste. Marie, Illinois-based manufacturer of insulated dog and cat houses and accessories, expanding its U.S. manufacturing operations into the pet products market.

ASL Solutions, founded in 2000, produces rotationally molded pet houses and owns product lines including Dog Palace®, CRB Palace™, RB Palace™, and DP Hunter™, adding new products to Escalade’s existing portfolio.

ASL Solutions will become part of Escalade’s US Weight Group portfolio, which includes fitness and safety products, with General Manager Allison McDonald leading the integration of the business operations.

The companies did not disclose financial terms of the transaction, while Escalade stated that the acquisition expands its U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities and provides entry into the pet market.

Escalade stated that ASL’s rotational molding expertise and insulated pet housing products will complement its manufacturing and distribution capabilities.

Escalade operates businesses across sporting goods, fitness, and outdoor recreation markets, with the ASL Solutions acquisition adding pet products to its portfolio of brands and product categories.
