The Ensign Group (NASDAQ:ENSG) acquired the operations of two skilled nursing facilities in Texas, expanding its healthcare portfolio in the U.S. senior care market.

The facilities include the 126-bed Las Ventanas de Socorro in Socorro and the 124-bed Los Arcos del Norte Care Center in El Paso, both effective July 1, 2026.

The real estate assets were acquired by Standard Bearer Healthcare REIT, while Ensign-affiliated operators will manage day-to-day operations under separate agreements.

Following the acquisition, Ensign said its total portfolio increased to 398 healthcare operations, including 48 senior living operations across 17 states.

The company also reported ownership of 183 real estate assets following the transaction.

The deal continues Ensign’s strategy of expanding its skilled nursing footprint through operator-led acquisitions paired with affiliated real estate investment structures.
