Energy Transfer (NYSE:ET) entered a definitive agreement to acquire Vaquero Midstream in a deal valued at $2.625 billion.

The acquisition enhances Energy Transfer's integrated natural gas gathering and processing capabilities while directing higher volumes into its downstream infrastructure.

The acquisition is expected to close in the 4th quarter 2026, subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.

Vaquero operates three natural gas processing plants with a combined processing capacity of approximately 675 MMcf/d backed by 10-year customer contracts.

Energy Transfer owns and operates an extensive portfolio of energy infrastructure assets including natural gas, NGL, and crude oil transportation pipelines.
