Energous Corporation (NASDAQ:WATT), a pioneer in over-the-air (OTA) wireless power networks, announced preliminary results for fiscal year 2025 on Tuesday, highlighting a dramatic expansion in commercial adoption.
The company expects to report record annual revenue of $5.6 million, a staggering 630% increase compared to approximately $0.8 million in 2024.
The fourth quarter provided a significant portion of this growth, with preliminary revenue reaching $3 million.
While this figure is technically lower year-over-year compared to a specific large shipment in late 2024, it represents a 25% sequential improvement over Q3 2025.
Energous successfully streamlined its operations during the year, reducing its net loss by over 45% year-over-year through disciplined cost management and increased manufacturing scale.
The company's "PowerBridge" technology gained massive traction in the retail and logistics sectors throughout 2025.
Energous shipped over 25,000 PowerBridge units—notably with zero product returns—supporting more than 410 retail locations and fulfillment centers.
The footprint now includes three national grocery distribution centers and 14 international deployments, aided by recent regulatory approvals for the PowerBridge Pro across the European Union and United Kingdom.
On the strategic front, Energous strengthened its balance sheet by raising $23.9 million in equity capital, allowing the company to eliminate its debt and various high-interest liabilities. The company also achieved technical milestones by joining the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network and qualifying its hardware for the Amazon Marketplace, significantly lowering the barrier for enterprise customers to deploy battery-free IoT sensors and wireless power networks.
