Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY) received U.K. approval for Foundayo on August 10 for adult weight management and insufficiently controlled type 2 diabetes.

For weight management, the approval covers adults with BMI of at least 30, or 27–30 with a weight-related condition.

Foundayo starts at 0.8 mg and increases to 17.2 mg, while Lilly said private U.K. pricing will be below Mounjaro’s £330 monthly list price.

Following the announcement, Eli Lilly's share price was up 3.9% at $1,231.94 on August 10.

Meanwhile, Foundayo received U.S. approval in April and generated $98 million of sales during the April-to-June quarter.

Foundayo follows Novo Nordisk’s oral Wegovy approval in the U.K., while the MHRA said NHS availability still requires a separate NICE assessment.
