- Eledon Pharmaceuticals announced long-term Phase 2 extension data showing higher kidney function for patients treated with tegoprubart.
- Following the clinical data presentation, market trading observed the company's shares rising to $4.05.
- The company plans to use these results to support the initiation of its Phase 3 clinical program in late 2026.
Eledon Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ELDN) reported extension data showing a 12 mL/min kidney function advantage at 18 months.
The new findings contrast with traditional tacrolimus regimens that often lead to progressive loss of organ function over time.
"A statistically significant kidney function benefit at 18 months and favorable long-term safety reinforce tegoprubart's clinical profile as we prepare to initiate our Phase 3 program," said Eledon Pharmaceuticals Chief Executive Officer David-Alexandre C. Gros.
The study noted that no biopsy-proven acute rejection events occurred in tegoprubart-treated patients after six months.
The firm is focusing its clinical pipeline on developing tegoprubart for long-term organ transplantation safety.
This developmental path follows a successful End-of-Phase 2 meeting with regulators to finalize a Phase 3 study design.
