Elbit Systems (NASDAQ:ESLT) said the Greek government has approved funding for the acquisition of its PULS rocket artillery system, clearing a major hurdle in a deal expected to result in a material contract for the Israeli defense company.
The approval—granted by both the Hellenic Parliament and Greece’s Government Council for Foreign Affairs and Defense (KYSEA)—allows the Ministry of National Defense to move forward with commercial negotiations.
Elbit said it anticipates receiving the contract once those talks conclude.
The PULS (Precise & Universal Launching System) platform can fire a range of munitions including unguided rockets, precision-guided artillery, and various classes of tactical missiles.
It supports multiple ranges and can be integrated onto both wheeled and tracked vehicles.
Elbit highlights PULS as a cost-efficient solution due to its modular design, which reduces long-term maintenance and training burdens—a key consideration for militaries modernizing their ground-based fires capabilities.
Greece continues to bolster its defense posture amid regional security tensions, and advanced rocket artillery has been a priority for the Hellenic Army.
The PULS system has gained momentum internationally as European militaries seek mobile long-range fires following lessons from the war in Ukraine.
Elbit did not disclose expected contract size but characterized it as material, suggesting it could rank among the company’s larger international deals.
