Net earnings for the quarter came in at $102.1 million, or $3.29 per diluted share, representing a decrease compared to the prior year's fiscal first quarter.
The company posted an adjusted EBITDA of $190.5 million, down 11% year-over-year after excluding non-routine and non-cash items.
Operating cash flow demonstrated strong momentum, rising 13% to reach $154 million compared to the same period last year.
Following the announcement, Eagle Materials' share price was up at $222.05.
Management continued its capital allocation strategy by repurchasing 406,500 shares of common stock for roughly $84 million during the period.
