Duolingo (NASDAQ:DUOL) announced the acquisition of Animade, a London-based animation and motion design studio, to expand its in-house Design Studio and support product experience development.
The acquisition adds Animade’s animation, interactive design, and product storytelling capabilities to Duolingo as the company continues building creative resources after expanding its user base and product offerings.
Animade’s team will join Duolingo and work on product innovation, growth experiments, and new creative initiatives, while expanding the company’s design presence in the United Kingdom.
Duolingo did not disclose the financial terms of the acquisition or provide details on the number of Animade employees joining the company.
