Dollar General names new general counsel

• Dollar General announced Executive Vice President and General Counsel Rhonda Taylor will retire in 2027.
• Kelly Collier will succeed Taylor as EVP and General Counsel effective December 7, 2026.
• Taylor will remain in her current role through December 6, 2026, before moving into an advisory position.

Dollar General (NYSE:DG) announced that Executive Vice President and General Counsel Rhonda Taylor will retire from the company, with Kelly Collier appointed as her successor effective December 7, 2026.

The transition follows Taylor’s 26-year tenure at Dollar General, where she joined in 2000 and became Executive Vice President and General Counsel in 2015 after holding several legal leadership roles.

“Rhonda has been far more than our General Counsel. She has served as a trusted advisor, respected leader, and strategic business partner who helped play a critical role in shaping Dollar General’s trajectory,” said Todd Vasos, Dollar General’s Chief Executive Officer.

Taylor will remain in her current position through December 6, 2026, and will then serve as a senior advisor through at least April 2, 2027, while Collier transitions into the general counsel role.

The company stated that Collier will lead legal, compliance, and related functions after assuming the position.

Taylor’s responsibilities have included oversight of legal strategy, internal audit, risk management, public policy, government affairs, public relations, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Collier joined Dollar General in 2009 and currently serves as Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Business Law, overseeing regulatory compliance, commercial contracts, business litigation, customs, intellectual property, and global compliance teams.
