Digital Realty (NYSE:DLR) formed a strategic joint venture with Rönesans Infrastructure to develop and operate next-generation, carrier-neutral data centers across Türkiye.
The partnership will extend Digital Realty’s PlatformDIGITAL into Türkiye as the companies target demand from cloud computing, artificial intelligence, connectivity, and enterprise digital infrastructure.
The joint venture’s first project is a data center campus in Ankara designed to support more than 22 megawatts of IT capacity.
The partners said land, power, and permitting have already been secured for the Ankara development, with initial construction now underway.
The first facility at the Ankara campus is scheduled for completion in 2028, with the partners intending to develop the site into a major Turkish digital infrastructure hub.
Digital Realty and Rönesans also plan an additional facility in Istanbul as they build a connected and resilient data center platform across the Turkish market.
The companies said the partnership is intended to serve domestic and international customers while using Türkiye’s position between Europe, the Middle East, and Asia to support regional connectivity.
