
Delta revenue rises 21% to $20.2 billion

- Net income fell 47% to $756 million as higher fuel costs pressured profitability, while diluted EPS declined to $1.15.
- Delta expects full-year adjusted EPS of $5.10–$5.60 and approximately $2.5 billion in free cash flow.
Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) reported September-quarter 2026 GAAP revenue of $20.2 billion, up 21% year over year, while higher fuel costs weighed on earnings.
Net income declined 47% to $756 million from a year earlier, while diluted earnings per share fell to $1.15 from $2.17 and operating margin narrowed to 7.2% from 10.1%.
Adjusted revenue increased 16% to $17.6 billion, while adjusted earnings per share rose 1% to $1.72.
Free cash flow fell 44% to $463 million, while adjusted net debt ended the quarter at $13.4 billion, down $950 million from year-end 2025.
Delta said it expects December-quarter adjusted revenue growth of approximately 20% and adjusted earnings per share of $1.15–$1.65.
For full-year 2026, Delta expects adjusted earnings per share of $5.10–$5.60, approximately $2.5 billion in free cash flow and gross leverage of about 2.2 times.
The airline also plans to repay more than $2 billion of debt during 2026 as it continues reducing leverage and managing its balance sheet.
