  • Definium Therapeutics reported positive topline results from its Phase 3 trial of depression drug DT120.
  • The trial met its primary endpoint, showing a statistically significant 8.1-point reduction in depression scores.
  • The company plans to use these findings to advance toward an FDA submission for major depressive disorder.

Definium Therapeutics (NASDAQ:DFNM) stated its depression drug trial succeeded, showing a key 8.1-point improvement over a placebo.

This outcome contrasts with traditional treatments that the company stated often yield partial responses and slower recovery timelines.

"The Emerge topline results represent unprecedented and highly differentiated efficacy, demonstrating that a single dose of DT120 ODT can deliver rapid, robust, and durable relief in MDD," said Definium Therapeutics Chief Executive Officer Rob Barrow.

Regarding trial data, the business reported that 99% of adverse events were mild to moderate, lasting only on the day of dosing.

Following the announcement, Definium Therapeutics' share price was up at $4.50.

This clinical trial program represents the company's broader focus on addressing underlying biological causes of various severe psychiatric disorders.

Management indicated that these specific findings will directly support the business as it prepares for an upcoming regulatory submission to the FDA.
