CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV) announced plans to expand its AI cloud platform into India through a collaboration with AdaniConneX, with the companies planning to develop 240 megawatts (MW) of data center capacity in Navi Mumbai.

The expansion marks CoreWeave’s entry into India as the AI cloud provider seeks to bring specialized computing infrastructure closer to customers in one of the world’s rapidly growing AI markets.

CoreWeave plans to establish an Indian office and hire locally, creating an on-the-ground presence to support customers and partners across the country’s AI ecosystem.

The new campus will consist of three 80 MW buildings at AdaniConneX’s Taloja campus in Navi Mumbai.

CoreWeave intends to deploy NVIDIA Vera Rubin infrastructure on its AI cloud platform to support increasingly demanding AI training, inference, reasoning and agentic workloads.

Sachin Jain, Chief Operating Officer of CoreWeave, said the company is investing in infrastructure, technology and local talent to support India’s growing AI ambitions.

The expansion is also aligned with India’s national AI initiatives, including the IndiaAI Mission, and comes as the country attracts increasing investment in data center infrastructure.

The Taloja facilities are being designed specifically for high-density AI computing.

The planned infrastructure will include direct liquid cooling for GPU data halls and a non-evaporative chilled-water system designed to support future generations of AI hardware.

The first phase is expected to become available in mid-2028, with additional capacity scheduled to come online in phases.

CoreWeave is expected to be the sole tenant across the three buildings and will have the opportunity to double the campus capacity by adding up to another 240 MW.

The India expansion builds on CoreWeave’s growing international footprint across North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, including its recent entry into Indonesia.

As of the company’s August 11, 2026 earnings call, CoreWeave had approximately 4.2 gigawatts of contracted power.

The company said the expansion reflects growing customer demand for its AI Cloud platform and its strategy of providing specialized compute, software and services to enterprises building and scaling artificial intelligence applications globally.
