Corcept gains EU review for ovarian cancer drug

• Corcept Therapeutics (NASDAQ:CORT) received a positive CHMP opinion recommending relacorilant plus nab-paclitaxel for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
• The recommendation follows positive results from Phase 2 and Phase 3 ROSELLA trials.
• The European Commission is expected to make a final approval decision in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Corcept Therapeutics (NASDAQ:CORT) received a positive opinion from the European Medicines Agency’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) recommending approval of relacorilant combined with nab-paclitaxel for patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.

The recommendation is based on results from Corcept’s Phase 2 and pivotal Phase 3 ROSELLA trials, where patients receiving the combination treatment showed improved progression-free survival and overall survival compared with patients receiving nab-paclitaxel alone.

The company said the safety profile of relacorilant combined with nab-paclitaxel was consistent with the known safety profile of nab-paclitaxel monotherapy in the clinical trials.

Corcept develops medicines that modulate the effects of cortisol for severe endocrinologic, oncologic, metabolic and neurologic disorders.

The European Commission will review the CHMP recommendation and is expected to issue a final decision on approval in the fourth quarter of 2026.
