  • Corbus Pharmaceuticals announced Phase 1b data showing a 5% mean weight loss for participants taking 60 mg of oral CRB-913 over 12 weeks.
  • The clinical trial results establish a statistically significant efficacy profile against placebos, pushing the treatment closer to its next development phase.
  • The company plans to initiate a Phase 2 monotherapy study in the first half of 2027 to further evaluate the drug.

Corbus Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:CRBP) reported Phase 1b data showing a 5% mean weight loss with CRB-913 after 12 weeks.

The CANYON-1 trial tested the drug on 254 obese adults across three daily dose cohorts and a placebo group.

The placebo-adjusted mean percent weight change reached 5% for the 60 mg dose group at week 12.

Nearly half of the 60 mg cohort lost at least 5% of their baseline weight without hitting a plateau.

The drug was generally well tolerated with no serious psychiatric events and primarily mild gastrointestinal side effects reported.

The company stated it expects to begin a Phase 2 monotherapy study in the first half of 2027.
