Construction Partners (NASDAQ:ROAD) announced the acquisition of Asphalt Express Enterprises, a liquid asphalt supply and hauling business serving hot-mix asphalt producers in Oklahoma and northern Texas.
The transaction was completed through Construction Partners’ Oklahoma platform company, Overland Corporation, which acquired Asphalt Express’s Ardmore industrial site and transportation fleet.
The acquired assets include a rail-served industrial facility in Ardmore, Oklahoma, along with trucks and trailers used to transport liquid asphalt, with the company planning to develop the site into a future terminal.
Construction Partners said the acquisition is intended to improve access to a key construction material and increase sourcing and transportation flexibility.
Construction Partners operates infrastructure and road construction businesses across the United States, including asphalt production, paving, and related services.
The acquisition supports Construction Partners’ vertical integration strategy by adding supply chain capabilities and incorporating Asphalt Express’s team and customer relationships into its Oklahoma operations.
