
CollPlant to acquire LightSolver photonic computing technology
- CollPlant agreed to acquire Israeli deep-tech company LightSolver and its photonic computing platform.
- LightSolver is developing an all-optical Laser Processing Unit designed for AI, simulation, and optimization workloads.

CollPlant (NASDAQ:CLGN) signed a definitive agreement to acquire LightSolver, an Israeli deep-tech company developing pure photonic computing technology centered on its Laser Processing Unit platform.
The acquisition expands CollPlant’s technology portfolio into optical computing, with LightSolver targeting high-intensity workloads in simulation, optimization, and Physical AI applications.
Under the agreement, CollPlant will issue 3,734,476 new ordinary shares, representing 19.7% of pre-transaction share capital, along with pre-funded warrants for 6,134,363 shares and milestone-based warrants linked to LightSolver’s technology and commercial achievements.
CollPlant said LightSolver’s LPU technology is designed to operate alongside existing CPUs and GPUs, with commercial availability targeted for 2028.
CollPlant develops regenerative medicine technologies and materials, including collagen-based solutions, while expanding into additional technology areas through strategic investments.
The transaction also includes milestone-based warrants for 224,078,345 shares and rollover options for 2,261,966 shares, with certain equity instruments subject to shareholder approval and achievement of specified milestones.
