Cognizant (NASDAQ:CTSH), a leading global professional services company, announced today, December 16, 2025, that it has entered into a new five-year strategic agreement with ERIKS, a prominent international industrial service provider.
The multi-year deal formalizes a major extension of a relationship that began in 2017, moving from a collaborative partnership to a comprehensive, strategic IT transformation mandate.
Under the terms of the new agreement, Cognizant will take over the management of all of ERIKS' operational IT services.
Beyond routine maintenance, the partnership is specifically designed to accelerate ERIKS' "technology-stack transformation," modernizing legacy infrastructure to better support the company’s ambitious growth and innovation targets across Europe and beyond.
A central pillar of the collaboration is the integration of emerging technologies, specifically Generative AI (GenAI).
Cognizant will leverage its AI expertise to help ERIKS boost operational efficiency, enhance its digital capabilities, and develop more agile responses to evolving market demands.
Saket Gulati, Senior Vice President and Head of Northern Europe at Cognizant, noted that the new contract "elevates our partnership to a truly strategic level," emphasizing the trust built between the two organizations over nearly a decade.
For Cognizant, the deal reinforces its strong momentum in the European market and its successful pivot toward AI-led service delivery.
For ERIKS, the transformation is expected to reduce technical debt and allow the organization to focus on its core mission as a high-tech industrial distributor.
