CN (NYSE:CNI) reported second-quarter revenue of C$4.753 billion, up 11%, as grain and energy shipments supported higher freight volumes.

Net income increased 7% to C$1.249 billion, while adjusted diluted EPS rose 11% to C$2.08.

First-half free cash flow rose 19% to C$1.842 billion, while CN repurchased 2.9 million shares for C$454 million.

Following the announcement, CN's share price was up 2.1% at $130.58.

Meanwhile, CN approved a C$0.9150 quarterly dividend and maintained its planned 2026 capital investment of approximately C$2.8 billion.

Elsewhere, CN recently signed Union Pacific agreements expanding its Chicago, Midwest and Canada-to-Mexico access, subject to regulatory conditions.
