
CME Group reports record June trading volume
- CME Group (NASDAQ:CME) reported record June 2026 average daily volume of 30.6 million contracts, up 19% year over year.
- Equity index ADV reached 10.1 million contracts, while agricultural volume hit 2.3 million contracts.
- Growth was driven by interest rates, metals, crypto, micro products, and international trading activity.
CME Group (NASDAQ:CME) reported record average daily volume of 30.6 million contracts for June 2026, marking a 19% increase compared with the same period last year.
The exchange operator also said its second-quarter average daily volume reached 29.8 million contracts, the second-highest quarterly level in its history.
Equity index products recorded 10.1 million contracts in average daily volume, while agricultural products totaled 2.3 million contracts.
CME said growth was also supported by increased activity in interest rate, metals, cryptocurrency, micro products, and international markets.
The company operates one of the world’s largest derivatives exchanges, offering futures and options across multiple asset classes.
CME said the record volumes reflect broad participation across institutional and retail trading segments.
