CMB.TECH signs charter for 12 bulkers

CMB.TECH (NYSE:CMBT) and Fortescue (ASX:FMG) signed a charter agreement for up to 12 ammonia-capable bulkers.

The deal expands zero-emission shipping infrastructure compared to standard industry marine fuel deployments.

Up to three Newcastlemax bulkers will feature dual-fuel ammonia engines upon delivery by late 2026.

The remaining nine vessels in the fleet will be delivered with ammonia-ready specifications.

Following the announcement, CMB.TECH's share price was unchanged at $14.42.

The green ammonia fuel could reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 250,000 tonnes annually.

CMB.TECH plans to report its second-quarter financial results on August 27, 2026.
