- The companies will also form multi-year air and ocean freight commercial agreements running through 2028.
CMA CGM Group agreed to acquire FedEx Supply Chain, the contract logistics arm of FedEx (NYSE:FDX), in a $1.4 billion enterprise value deal aimed at expanding its North American logistics footprint through CEVA Logistics.
The transaction is expected to nearly triple CEVA Logistics’ North American contract logistics operations compared with its current scale.
The combined operations are expected to run about 150 warehouses and expand CEVA Logistics to more than 20,000 employees across over 240 locations in North America.
FedEx Supply Chain had about 11,500 employees and nearly 150 facilities as of May 31, 2025, according to company disclosures.
CMA CGM and FedEx said they will also establish multi-year commercial agreements covering air and ocean freight services through phased rollouts ending by 2028.
FedEx said the divestment allows it to focus on higher-value sectors, including healthcare, automotive, aerospace, and data centers.
CMA CGM said the acquisition supports its strategy of building an integrated logistics network across ocean, air, and contract logistics services.
