Climb Bio (NASDAQ:CLYM) reported positive initial Phase 1b clinical data for its drug candidate budoprutug, an anti-CD19 monoclonal antibody, which is being developed to treat adults with primary immune thrombocytopenia.

The data, presented at the European Hematology Association 2026 Congress, showed encouraging safety profiles alongside robust biological activity in a challenging, heavily pretreated patient population.

Among the 15 heavily pretreated patients evaluated in the trial, budoprutug achieved greater than 90% B-cell depletion and a meaningful increase in platelet counts.

The primary clinical goals of demonstrating safety and targeted efficacy were met, which management indicated will support the continued clinical development and dose escalation of the therapeutic candidate.

Immune thrombocytopenia is a rare autoimmune bleeding disorder characterized by low platelet counts, and these early results suggest budoprutug could offer an effective mechanism for resetting the immune response by targeting CD19-expressing B cells.
