China Yuchai revenue skyrockets 13.9% to $2.2 billion

China Yuchai International (NYSE:CYD) reported first-half 2026 revenue of RMB14.7 billion (US$2.2 billion), up 13.9%, as engine sales increased 10.9% to 277,684 units.

Gross profit increased 36.5% to RMB2.5 billion, lifting gross margin to 17.1% from 14.3%, while operating profit rose 58.9% to RMB988.2 million.

Profit attributable to shareholders increased 53.2% to RMB560.6 million, basic EPS reached RMB14.94, and cash and bank balances ended June at RMB8.1 billion.

Following the announcement, China Yuchai's share price was up 0.35% at $48.90.

During the period under review, heavy-duty truck engine sales increased 47.3% while marine and power-generation engine sales rose 42%, helping offset an 18.9% decline in agricultural machinery engine volumes.

China Yuchai also gained operational control of fuel-injection specialist NYDK and paid a US$0.87-per-share 2025 cash dividend in July as borrowings declined to RMB1.4 billion.
