
C.H. Robinson to acquire RXO for $5.8 billion

C.H. Robinson (NASDAQ:CHRW) agreed to acquire RXO (NYSE:RXO) in a $5.8 billion stock-and-cash transaction.
The agreement combines two complementary third-party logistics networks to increase overall North American market density.
"This transaction is a natural next step in our transformation," said C.H. Robinson President and Chief Executive Officer Dave Bozeman.
The logistics provider stated that it expects to realize approximately $300 million in cost synergies.
Following the announcement, C.H. Robinson's share price was down at $145.53.
The company stated the combined enterprise will manage an expanded platform supporting global forwarding operations.
The acquiring business stated it plans to fund the cash portion using new debt financing.
