Bolsonaro Takes Surprise Brazil Election Lead Over Lula

Flávio Bolsonaro surged to a surprise lead over Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the first round of Brazil's presidential election. Bolsonaro took about 47% of the vote to Lula's roughly 45% with counting nearly complete. The two candidates will face off on Oct. 25. Brazilian assets are expected to surge when markets open Monday on signs that Bolsonaro is poised for victory. Bloomberg's Julia Leite reports.
