Lam Research Invests $1.5 Billion in Oregon to Expand Chip R&D

Tim Archer, CEO of Lam Research, said that his company is investing over a billion dollars to stay ahead of AI buildout demand and the accelerating pace of AI innovation. Archer said that new AI models are demanding more computational power, bandwidth and storage and Lam Research is focused on semiconductor chip innovation to meet those needs.

'Complicated' for Politicians to Paint Positive Economic Picture, Says Patrick McHenry

Former Republican Congressman from North Carolina Patrick McHenry said that its 'complicated' for politicians to try and paint a positive picture of the US economy during midterm campaigning as voters contend with inflation and higher energy prices. McHenry said that it is unlikely for congress to act on reducing the US debt, because politicians on both sides don't really care about reducing spending.

Israel 'Fully Aligned' With Trump, Kushner on Hamas Disarmament Says Ophir Falk

Ophir Falk, foreign policy advisor to Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said Israel is 'fully aligned' with President Trump and Jared Kushner when it comes to the need for Hamas to disarm for peace projects in Gaza to move forward. Meta Settlement Sets Blueprint for TikTok, YouTube

Meta has agreed to pay up to $18 billion over ten years and adopt new protections for teenage users as part of a landmark settlement with states over its social media platforms. The company was sued by 29 state attorneys general, including West Virginia Attorney General JB McCuskey, who says the deal provides a "blueprint" for pursuing TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms.
