
Caleres reports 5.6% sales growth in Q2

Caleres (NYSE:CAL) reported second quarter 2026 net sales of $695.5 million, increasing 5.6% year over year as growth in its Brand Portfolio offset lower Famous Footwear sales.
The company said Brand Portfolio sales increased 23.6%, including 8.2% organic growth, while international sales rose 57% and 18.2% organically during the quarter.
GAAP consolidated gross margin expanded 1,140 basis points to 54.8%, while adjusted gross margin excluding tariff refunds increased 340 basis points to 46.8%, and Famous Footwear sales declined 6.3% with comparable sales down 5.9%.
Caleres reported GAAP earnings per diluted share of $1.71 compared with $0.20 in the prior-year period, while adjusted earnings per diluted share increased to $0.47 from $0.35.
Caleres operates a portfolio of footwear brands, including Famous Footwear and Stuart Weitzman, serving consumers through retail stores, digital channels, and international markets.
