Burlington Stores unveils $2.998 billion Q2 sales as business expands

Burlington Stores (NYSE:BURL) reported second quarter 2026 total sales of $2.998 billion, up 11% year over year, while comparable store sales increased 2%.

The results followed a prior-year period with 10% sales growth and 5% comparable store sales growth, while net income increased to $184 million from the previous year.

The company reported diluted earnings per share of $2.88, while adjusted EPS increased 38% to $2.37 excluding a $55 million tariff refund benefit and costs related to bankruptcy acquired leases, with adjusted EBIT margin expanding 100 basis points.

Burlington received $55 million in tariff refunds and stated that it plans to reinvest the benefit into customer pricing, with the company expecting a neutral full-year earnings impact.

The company raised fiscal 2026 guidance, targeting total sales growth of 10% to 11%, comparable sales growth of 3% to 4%, and adjusted EPS of $11.77 to $11.97 compared with $10.17 in the prior year.
