Bristow Group (NYSE:VTOL) completed its $105 million acquisition of Berry Aviation from Acorn Capital Management, expanding its government and special-mission aviation operations.
The all-cash transaction was announced on June 23, 2026, and represents Acorn’s exit from an investment it began when it acquired Berry in July 2018.
Berry operates more than 20 aircraft and generated approximately $108 million in 2025 revenue, with about 72% coming from government services including surveillance, maintenance, training and unmanned-aircraft development.
Following the announcement, Bristow Group's share price was unchanged at $43.68 before regular trading began.
Acorn said Berry expanded its unmanned-aircraft business, maintenance capabilities, government and cargo fleets and on-demand cargo operations during its ownership.
Bristow stated that Berry should be immediately accretive to earnings and free cash flow while increasing its exposure to contracted U.S. government aviation services.
