BrightSpring Health profits soar as revenue hits $3.6B in record first quarter
BrightSpring Health Services (NASDAQ:BTSG) reported a landmark first quarter for 2026, delivering substantial growth across all key financial metrics.
The company posted revenue from continuing operations of $3.61 billion, a 25.6% increase compared to the prior-year period.
Profitability saw an even sharper rise, with gross profit jumping 42.5% to $482 million and net income climbing to $74 million, compared to just $9 million in the first quarter of 2025.
The results were bolstered by the successful closure of the company’s Community Living divestiture, which generated a gain of $31.2 million.
This move, combined with a secondary offering and a $60 million share repurchase program completed during the quarter, has significantly optimized BrightSpring’s capital structure.
As of March 31, 2026, the company reported a pro forma leverage ratio of 2.27x, reflecting a disciplined focus on deleveraging and financial flexibility.
Operationally, the company’s adjusted EBITDA grew 44.8% to $190 million, driven by strong performance in its pharmacy and provider services segments.
Reflecting the strong start to the year and the anticipated impact of recent strategic actions, management raised its full-year 2026 guidance.
The company now expects annual revenue to range between $14.725 billion and $15.225 billion, with Adjusted EBITDA projected between $795 million and $825 million.
