  • BrainsWay (NASDAQ:BWAY) reported real-world data from 462 patients treated with Deep TMS for PTSD and major depressive disorder.
  • The analysis showed 83.5% PTSD response and 66.6% depression response rates, with 27.3% remission.
  • Deep TMS is not FDA-cleared for PTSD, and the findings are described as preliminary.

BrainsWay (NASDAQ:BWAY) reported positive real-world data from what it described as the largest analysis of Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation in patients with comorbid post-traumatic stress disorder and major depressive disorder.

The retrospective study included 462 patients and measured outcomes across both PTSD and depression symptom scales in routine clinical settings.

The study reported an 83.5% response rate for PTSD symptoms, a 66.6% response rate for depression, and a 27.3% remission rate, along with an average symptom reduction of about 50%.

BrainsWay noted that Deep TMS is not FDA-cleared for PTSD, and the findings are based on retrospective real-world data rather than a prospective randomized trial.

The company continues to evaluate Deep TMS across multiple neuropsychiatric indications, building on its existing regulatory approvals in depression-related conditions.

BrainsWay said the dataset supports further investigation of comorbid PTSD and depression treatment outcomes using neuromodulation approaches.
