Boeing (NYSE:BA) and MSC Air Cargo announced an agreement for the purchase of five 777-8 Freighters at Farnborough, United Kingdom, on July 21, 2026.

The acquisition represents the first order of this specific new aircraft model for the international shipping and logistics carrier.

MSC Air Cargo executed the purchase agreement to actively expand its existing all-Boeing freighter fleet.

The 777-8 Freighter is part of the advanced 777X family, offering operators high payload capacity alongside improved operational efficiency.

The aircraft model is marketed for its reduced fuel use, lower emissions, and decreased operating costs per tonne compared to older generations.

Boeing stated that MSC Air Cargo is now the third Europe-based air cargo operator to officially order the aircraft.

The aerospace manufacturer confirmed that more than 80 orders have been booked for the 777-8 Freighter globally to date.
