  • BioStem Technologies (NASDAQ:BSEM) added VENDAJE® and VENDAJE AC® wound care allografts to existing Vizient and Premier contracts.
  • The products are now available for hospital ordering through two major U.S. group purchasing organizations.
  • The agreements expand BioStem’s hospital channel for its BioRetain® wound care product line.

BioStem Technologies (NASDAQ:BSEM) announced that its VENDAJE® and VENDAJE AC® placental-derived wound care allografts have been added to existing contracts with Vizient and Premier, allowing hospitals to order the products immediately.

The contract additions represent the first group purchasing organization coverage for VENDAJE and VENDAJE AC and expand access to BioStem’s BioRetain® wound care product portfolio through hospital purchasing channels.

BioStem stated that Vizient serves more than 5,000 hospitals and Premier serves more than 4,000 healthcare facilities across the United States.

The company said VENDAJE and VENDAJE AC are minimally manipulated dehydrated tissue allografts manufactured using BioStem’s proprietary BioRetain process, which is designed for wound care applications.

The GPO contract additions provide hospitals with a new purchasing pathway for BioStem’s wound care products as the company expands its healthcare distribution network.

BioStem Technologies develops regenerative medicine products, including tissue-based wound care solutions designed for healthcare providers treating complex wounds.
