- BioArctic entered a research collaboration with Eli Lilly to develop a new neurodegeneration drug candidate.
- The agreement includes a $30 million upfront payment and up to $770 million in milestone fees.
- The partnership leverages BioArctic's proprietary platform to enhance blood-brain barrier drug delivery.
BioArctic partnered with Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY) on a neurodegeneration drug deal potentially worth $770 million.
This transaction expands the firm's commercial pipeline compared to standalone development programs tracked during previous years.
"I'm excited by today's announcement and proud that a large pharmaceutical company sees potential in our proprietary BrainTransporter technology," said BioArctic CEO Gunilla Osswald.
The biopharma company will receive $30 million upfront alongside tiered mid-single digit royalties on global sales.
The newly executed deal represents the fourth corporate collaboration utilizing this proprietary brain transport platform.
Outside of these four specific partner agreements, the Swedish enterprise retains all independent platform rights.
