
BHP announces executive leadership team changes
- BHP (NYSE:BHP) named Jessica Farrell as President North America effective July 1, 2026, coinciding with Brandon Craig’s start as CEO.

BHP (NYSE:BHP) announced updates to its executive leadership team as incoming CEO Brandon Craig prepares to assume the role on July 1, 2026.
Jessica Farrell has been appointed President North America effective July 1, 2026.
She is currently Vice President Innovation and previously served as Western Australia Nickel Asset President.
Jess will also act in the position of President South America until recruitment for that role is completed.
Edgar Basto, current Chief Operating Officer, will transition to Chief Enterprise Performance Officer effective September 1, 2026, remaining accountable for Health, Safety and Security as well as the BHP Operating System while strengthening contractor safety and operating discipline.
Geraldine Slattery will continue as President Australia and will assume additional responsibility for Copper South Australia, bringing all Australian operating assets under unified leadership.
BHP is restructuring its executive team to enhance focus on key regions and operational performance as the company pursues its growth strategy.
The changes reflect BHP’s aim to build stronger organisational capacity with the right mix of skills to deliver safe, reliable operations and long-term shareholder returns.
