  • Ballard Power Systems secured a 15-megawatt purchase order for its proprietary stationary fuel cell modules.
  • Following the market announcement, the company's common stock price rose to $4.30 per share.
  • The hardware deployment aims to provide zero-emission, low-noise alternatives to traditional diesel power generation starting in 2026.

Ballard Power Systems (NASDAQ:BLDP) secured a 15-megawatt order of fuel cell systems to expand its deployment of stationary off-grid power solutions for a renewable energy customer.

This commercial agreement represents a repeat order that follows a similar equipment purchase finalized by the same customer in 2024.

"This order reflects continued market adoption of zero-emission fuel cell solutions for off-grid stationary power applications and a positive endorsement from our partner on the ability of the FCmove-HD+ module to provide quiet, clean, economical and reliable low-carbon power wherever and whenever it is needed," said Ballard Power Systems President and Chief Executive Officer Marty Neese.

The supply agreement consists of 150 separate 100-kilowatt fuel cell modules, with product shipments slated to begin in the second half of 2026.

Following the announcement, Ballard Power Systems' share price was up at $4.30.

The company stated that the upcoming hydrogen gensets will supply clean electricity to alternative infrastructure networks, construction zones, live entertainment events, and electric vehicle charging stations.

The incoming modules are designed to serve as scalable, low-noise power generation alternatives to conventional industrial diesel generators.
