Embraer (NYSE:EMBJ) and aircraft lessor Azorra announced an expansion of their strategic partnership on June 5, 2026, with a new firm order for 15 E195-E2 aircraft.

The agreement also includes purchase rights for an additional 15 jets, providing Azorra with further flexibility to meet rising global demand for small narrowbody aircraft.

This latest transaction brings Azorra’s total firm order count for the E2 family to 54 aircraft, up from 39.

This marks the third time the lessor has increased its commitment to the program since the initial order was placed in December 2021.

The deal also serves as a significant milestone for the Brazilian manufacturer, as it pushes the total order book for the E2 program beyond 500 aircraft.

The E2 family has gained traction as a preferred solution for airlines looking to modernize fleets and optimize capacity.

Currently, there are more than 200 E2 aircraft in service with 24 different airline customers globally.

The E195-E2, the largest in the Embraer commercial portfolio, is noted for its high fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and a two-by-two cabin configuration that eliminates middle seats.

The new order from Azorra is set to be integrated into Embraer’s second-quarter 2026 financial results and official backlog.
