Aura Minerals (NASDAQ:AUGO) reported record-breaking preliminary production for the fourth quarter of 2025, bolstered by the successful ramp-up of its Borborema mine and the initial integration of its newest acquisition in Brazil.
The Toronto-listed miner produced 82,067 gold equivalent ounces (GEO) in the final three months of the year, an 11% increase over the previous quarter and a 23% jump from the same period in 2024.
The strong finish propelled full-year production to 280,414 GEO at current prices, a 5% increase year-over-year.
When measured at guidance prices—a metric the company uses to smooth out volatility in copper and silver conversions—annual production reached 285,380 GEO, landing Aura in the upper half of its revised 2025 forecast.
A significant driver of the quarter’s performance was the Borborema mine in Brazil, which achieved a recovery rate of 91.7% with an average grade of 1.42 g/t.
The company also consolidated its first month of results from the Serra Grande (MSG) mine, adding 4,761 GEO to the December total following the deal's closure earlier that month.
"We are delighted to close 2025 on a high note, delivering record production that underscores our robust growth trajectory," Chief Executive Officer Rodrigo Barbosa said in a statement.
The company noted that while its Aranzazu mine in Mexico saw production figures impacted by metal-price conversions, the overall portfolio remains on track as it pivots toward a long-term goal of 600,000 GEO annually.
