Atkore (NYSE:ATKR) announced on April 8, 2026, the sale of its High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe and conduit business to Infra Pipes, a prominent North American manufacturer of polyethylene pipeline solutions.

The transaction is the result of an ongoing strategic review aimed at optimizing Atkore’s product portfolio and sharpening its focus on core electrical offerings for the commercial, industrial, and data center markets.

Under the terms of the definitive agreement, Atkore will contribute its HDPE operations to Infra Pipes and capitalize the newly combined business with approximately $28 million.

In exchange, Atkore will retain a 10% equity stake in the expanded Infra Pipes entity.

The company stated that it expects to realize significant tax benefits from the sale, though specific financial figures related to the tax impact were not immediately disclosed.

Management noted that the divestiture allows Atkore to reallocate resources toward higher-growth opportunities within its primary electrical segment, particularly in sectors where the company maintains a dominant market position.
