AtaiBeckley (NASDAQ:ATAI) announced it completed dosing the final patient in its Phase 2b Elumina clinical trial evaluating VLS-01 for treatment-resistant depression.

The trial enrolled a cohort of 156 patients who were randomized under a one-to-one ratio to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the investigational drug.

The secondary tracking metrics focus on the formulation's buccal film delivery design to ensure the treatment fits within a standard two-hour clinical window.

Following the announcement, AtaiBeckley's share price was up at $5.17.

The biopharmaceutical company expects to release the topline data from this mid-stage depression study during the fourth quarter of 2026.

AtaiBeckley intends to initiate a future Phase 3 clinical program targeting major depressive disorder with a potential follow-on expansion into generalized anxiety disorder.

The company's pipeline positions the VLS-01 candidate alongside BPL-003 to broaden its specialized portfolio of therapeutic solutions for mood and anxiety disorders.
